My 1st +8 (a 1978 model) came with Dunlop SP's which were dreadful. When
they wore out I put on Michelins and the difference was amazing: the car
went round corners so much faster.
My 2nd +8 (1987) came from the factory with Pirellis P6 which I also didn't
like. After about a year and 20,000 miles I threw them away in favour of
Michelins and again was not disappointed. I'm still on Michelins and simply
buy the latest generation that they offer.
BTW, I've yet to find a tyre that works on a +8 in the rain.
