The spiral-wound Optima is a great battery- esp for heavy duty use. Hard to
beat. But the point of a battery lasting a long time & being cheap is well
taken. One reason that batterys last so long these days is... alternators.
All that aside... look at the new DiHard Security Battery. 3 year full
replacement + 100 month limited warranty. But the neat thing is that it has a
key-fob remote that blocks starting power- yet all accessories work! And, it
has a "storage" mode that allows you to disconnect all power without removing
the battery.
It is a battery with a built-in security system!!! Sounds perfect for a
