So far as the ribbed tires (tyres?) are concerned, I've run a set of 
"tubeless" tubed Vredesteins on my +4 4 seater for so long without a flat 
that I'm going to have to replace them because of their age!  Flats?  Only 
one when I backed the Moggie into some trees at speed a number of years ago.  
THe resulting flat was not the tire's fault!!
