This is exactly what I was looking for!
There is a shop in PA called Motorsports
Specialties and they have a website at
http://www.usacomp.com/Competition.htm
where the ML model is listed. It does
look exactly like a MiniLite (hence the
ML designation, I guess).

The price is now $200 each, or $1000 for 5.
That's inflation for you.

Thanks!

JOE - I'm currently running Compomotive ML ("Identical" to a
MiniLite) on
the +8. Compomotive has a good/informative website. I chose
the ML because
it is stronger, lighter, and cheaper than the MiniLite and very period
looking. Nearest US dist. is in Lancaster, PA. I paid $750.
(1998) for 5
wheels. Six races, two schools, and some road miles, the
wheels still look
new and clean up very well.

Cheers, Craig

PS The +8 has a 5 bolt pattern (the 4/4 has a 4 bolt?) but
Compomotive had
the correct +8 (pattern, PCD, offset, etc.) available right off
the shelf.
Should have a listing for the 4/4.

Another topic...

I'd like to replace the plain steel wheels with something that has
a bit more pizzazz. One option is to convert to wires - very
expensive what with the hubs and labor and all.

So naturally I'd like to find out about any aftermarket alloys that
can be bolted right on. I'm visualizing something like a spoked
MiniLite or PanaSport, but will stay open minded to anything
that looks "period" to a 50-60's style automobile like the Morgan.

I'm dubious about anything that will bolt on because it coincidentally
has the right bolt pattern (like VW Beetle wheels) due to offset
issues. Extreme offset can do in your wheel bearings.

Any suggestions?
