Hi Tony and John et al,

Twenty years ago I couldn't find rubber for my '58 +4 sidescreens.
So I used Tee Ruber from Restoration Specialties in Windber, PA. It
was hard to fit, but I got it into the grooves and joined the pieces
together with staples and superglue. Funny this subject should come
up as just yesterday I replaced that rubber with formed made-to-fit
pieces that I picked up at one of the MOGs. I bought the replacement
pieces a few years ago but from whom I cannot remember. Sorry to be
useless as to a source for the rubber. I can tell you that the
replacement pieces fit very well and are quite easy to install. The
replacement pieces are not symmetrical Tee rubber, but the wide part
has a curved (bulging) side and a straight side to its cross section.
This mades the wide part curve over toward the car, tucking into the
windscreen and under the hood's overhang (above the sidescreen).

Back to Restoration Specialties Their Tee Rubber comes in three
widths. The widest is perfect for the bottom of the windscreen on a
Morgan.

When installing Tee rubber into a slot , a little bit of dish washing
soap (like Joy) used as a lubricant makes the job much easier. Also
superglue will cement rubber pieces together quite well.

I hope these new rubber pieces last as long as my makeshift ones did.
They're out there somewhere. Someone in the newsgroup must know where
to find them.

Regards,
Tony Souza
