Stu,

It was I who suggested that the young woman give you a call in the
hope that you might know how to contact Joe's sister. I have known
for some time that she and Joe were close friends because Joe had
been very helpful getting her settled when she first moved here from
Coventry. I merely assisted her with her 4/4 and managed to get it
registered, inspected and insured in New Jersey. This is, after all,
only what I do for a living, and she had worked at Land Rover for a
lot of years in Gaydon and Solihull. This was our bond. She and
Joe were very close friends while I knew of Joe's kindness only
from a few events we attended together and from some dinners
we had at my local pub.

Subsequently I made a number of calls to other long-time Morgan
3/4 Group members, but as of this evening have yet to be able to
obtain his sister's contact information. Should any of you on this
List be able to assist with this, please contact me urgently off-line
since this young woman wishes to assist Joe's family in whatever
capacity she may.

It seems from what she told me that this tragedy is even deeper,
if that is possible, that what I had already imagined in that our
friend had a new girlfriend whom he discovered while doing some
vintage racing, and this trip to San Francisco was their first time
away together. She was a senior engineer at BMW in Woodcliff
Lake, NJ. and went down on the same flight. Even with all the
horrific news coming out of Manhattan, this is all pretty devastating
to me personally. Clearly none who were touched by either is
likely to ever forget them.
