An even better option for sealing an alloy rim might be J-B Weld,
a kind of automotive epoxy which can be machined if necessary.
It is available at most automotive parts stores. Many OEMs
recommend the stuff for repairs to broken alloy parts, including
BMW. Just clean the area well and let it cure at least 12 - 24
hours.
