I think the 235 was last produced in 62.  I have very little "hard"
knowledge of any Chevy models outside of the Advance Design era (47-55).  I
don't remember anything about 6 vs. 7 digits in casting numbers.  Also,
don't know what other engines would fit in place of your stock 230 (what
yours may have been changed out to).

I am sending this to the list so that you might get more information than
from just me (although this list doesn't cover 60's trucks).  Are you on the
oletrucks mailing list?  I think there is another list on the same server
for your year truck.  Look on www.chevytrucks.org for list membership
