Hi,
I am restoring a 55 GMC I bought it as a basket case. The motor and
transmission came from another truck. It turned out to be a 56 gmc and there
were some braces that came with the package . The parts book lists
brace-stabilizer .

2346925 r.h. dash to frame. Kudu bolt 1/2-20 x13/8
2346936 l.h. dash to frame w/out power steering. Kudu bolt 1/2-20 13/8
2346981 l.h. dash to frame w/power steering

It lists it for x,t series trucks (56,57)
It would seem they would bypass the rubber bushings used in the cab mounting
bring more vibrations to it.
Kevin if you email off list I can send a picture of them.

I am still looking for some plugs to block off the parking light holes if I
can can get used ones I will reproduce them.
