Hi all,
I've seen quite a few posts about using the 8-bolt wheels from a for# truck
as they would fit the ole-trucks. I've got a 55/2nd 3/4 ton with the original
17" split rims. I've been thinking of switching wheels when I ran across an
ad for a late model 8-bolt for# rear axle. I thought this might be a swap
for my low gears and keep the same bolt pattern. Anybody know if this could
be a possibility?
Just thought I'd mention my truck is my daily driver. The gas smell in the
cab was pretty bad. No leaks in the fill hoses, but I changed them anyway. No
more smell, I guess the 40 years of use made them pretty saturated. Easy,
cheap upgrade.
