I just had my K-5 Blazer's springs, bushings, and shocks totally re-done
(new everything). Parts + labor was $1,100.00 so I would guess that you
are in the right ball park. The dealer wanted nearly that for just the
springs (no bushings, shocks, or labor). I am very happy with the work I
had done. I couldn't find stock height springs without going to the dealer
so I ended up with about a 2-1/2" lift on the truck, but it rides and
handles better than it ever has before. I had a 68 F*$d Mustang's rear
springs re-done (remove, re-arch, re-bush, and reinstall) about 9 years ago
and it cost me something close to $450 then. I would be a little upset
that they "missed" their estimate by so far, but the price doesn't sound
too far out of line. Good luck, I hope it all works out for you.
