Hi Everybody,
I haven't written in a while. I've been learning from the group. I'm
putting a Pacer front end in my 50 3100. I bought it from a friend who
pulled it at the wrecker's. He had to disassemble the upper A-arms to get it
out. The threads on this subject all say to pull the mounting bolts with
the front end because they are hard to find. Boy, is this ever true! He
left them in the donor car and somebody else got them! I need 9/16s studs,
21/2" long, threaded about 3/4s", course thread pattern on each end. I've
tried Autozone, Kragens, Pacific Bolt, and every hardware store in two
counties. No one has a clue. I have the nuts to fit. These should be grade
8, or the last words I ever hear will be my wife saying "I told you so"!
Does anyone have any suggestions on where I might order the studs to put the
top of the Pacer frontend back together? Thanks, Mike Stone
