I have a 3/4 ton hot rod and went with the heidt's super ride ll the front
part of the frame on 1/2 and 3/4 have the same dimensions so any ifs should
work.as far as the rails in back I bought a spring kit from no limit and
mounted a dana 4:11 posi unit. with a couple of wheel tubs I have 18" of
clearance for tires. the rails being closer together give you more options
as far as rear ends.I admit that with the 3/4 ton axles weight might be a
consideration.but after you remove all that and replace with modern
equipment the only difference would be the nine inch difference in length
and to me that means a better ride.
