Rob,

The  848 heads are the ones that were more commomly used on engines to
be put in cars.  they are noted by the  848 in the casting numbers.
these heads give just a little more compression than the others.  If
you plan to build a 235 you will want a 848 head, but be prepared to
pay a good bit for the machine work. Not many shops want to take the
time to set up their equipment for inline six heads...
