Once again, I'm asking the list for some advice on a problem with my '54
1/2 ton, since you guys (and gals) have been very helpful in the past.

I ran into a bit of a problem starting the old girl this morning. It
occasionally takes me more than one try to get the truck started in the
morning, especially when it's cold, but this morning, the second turn of
the ignition key yielded only a dull "thunk," and then nothing.
Subsequent tries to start made no noise whatsoever. That's where I'm at
now; I didn't have time to try testing anything before I came to work this
morning.

Does anyone have any suggestions on where I should start diagnosing this
problem, or perhaps an idea of what could be wrong?

Thanks in advance,
