Hi,
I went with my dad to see the parts truck today.
I had the same question like your friend but for 58 and 59.
I helped measure a lot of parts.
We found out a 58 viking 6000 cab
is just like a 59 apache36.
The man said that most years of
Chevys have cabs the same for
big and small size trucks.
He said GMC are mostly like Chevys.
But just cabs and not everything.
The hood might be the same too.
But the fender is not the same.
The fender sticks way out like a bulge.
The front is really, really wider
because of fenders for really big wheels.
The back had two wheel on each side not just one.
To measure takes a long time but we learned a lot.
Both those 57 trucks might be the same size,
but maybe measure first.
