That's something I've always wondered about. I have been to several shows
where the owners of the "trailer queens" always look like they are having a
rotten time. They are so afraid that someone will come too close to the truck.
To me at least that misses the point..my truck is probably one of the
sorriest looking examples of a 57 chevy that is actually running. The rust
and faded paint is really bad.
But..I get a kick out of driving it, the knowledge that I drive something
that just not anyone can get really appeals to me.
Plus if she lays down on the side of the road I can usually fix it..and
that previously undiscoverd mechanical talent is a good thing.
Some day I hope to have my truck painted and looking good but I guarantee
you that when it happens I will still drive it as much as possible.
My point is don't get too caught up in  minute stuff, just enjoy the truck
for whatever it turns out to be.
