Hi Leah,

Welcome to the list.  It's nice to see someone else from Wisconsin here.
I'm going to throw my 2 cents worth into the pot here.  I'd keep the truck
as original as possible.  I have a 1949 3100 with a 235 in it.  It runs
great and with the right rear end gear ratio you can get the speed your
looking for.  I love the looks you get when you go for a drive.  Like you
mine is not a show stopper and never will be.  Eeyore is an everyday driver
and garbage hauler on occasion.  You should see the looks I get when I pull
up to the dump scales with a load of junk in that old truck.  It's worth
every penny I've ever spent on it.  Good luck on you project and if you ever
