Wow ! that's a lot of great information ! Were you able to drop the pan
without pulling the mill ? and just how did you go about sealing the
leaks in the oil pump et. ?

My valves just gradually got a little noisy not bad just a little tap
tap tap , I thought I had some lash in maybe ONE lifter it was just less
than dead quit.They must have been stuck in the proper adjustment
because it ran fine

Also would an air leak result in the lifters seizing up ? and would you
mill the flat in a new set of lifters before installation ? I hope to
have my hot little hands on a set this afternoon . but a friend has
loaned me his BMW 1600 for the week as he is out of town (Vrooom!) so I
could wait a day or two to get it buttoned up.
