On the thread of mounting V-8s, I prefer to use either the
original 4 point setup (mounts at very front of block, plus at
bellhousing), OR the mondern setup, with engine side mounts
(about 1/3 way back on engine), and one mount at the back of the
tranny.

There's usually a reason the factory does it a certain way...so
I trust their engineering, and do what they do.

One thing you DON'T want to do, is run mounts at the very front
of the engine, and at the back of the tranny, with nothing in
between...been there, it's not good!
