It's been some time since i have responded, but i researched this topic some
for NC, fayetteville exactly. The law states that any vehicle sitting and
not being worked on is to be removed. Also the law states that if a you have
a classic/vintage vehicle for restoration, or the such, purposes it is
allowed only if it is regularly being worked on and improved. You may want
to hunt some to find out if this is true for your area as well.
