I have the 40lb unit.  It works fine although it goes through a lot of the
ceramic tips, and the valves definitely have a short life.  It needs about
15cfm to run.

I don't know anything about the 20lb unit other than the fact that it is
smaller.  It might serve you well however if you bought that sears
compressor.  While you are waiting for the compressor to catch up, you can
be adding sand.
