I ordered a canceling cam for the signal lights from a local vendor, via
telephone, asking them to please ship it to me, paid via Visa. They advised
that the part was out of stock, but on order and would be in in two weeks.

Well, three weeks later I receive my Visa statement and the part was charged
to my card on the day of the order.

Yesterday, a month after the order was placed, I called to ask about the
part and they advised it had 'just' been shipped that morning. I asked about
being charged on my Visa when the order was taken and they advised this was
company policy!

Is this industry standard or simply one company without a sense of customer
responsibility?
