I believe that when this mirror was installed there was a stiffing bracket
installed in the door which had the nuts attached. I understand that the
door can flex if no bracket is used. I've just heard this never tried it.

It was an option for the passengers door mirror, But if you take off the
door
panel the inner skin is punched for the holes that locate the mirror. It
doesn't have the nuts welded to the door the same as the drivers side door
but it is easy to locate the holes and just use the bolts and put nuts on
the
inside of the door and then replace the door panel. Think they were quarter
20, all the suppliers have the bolts.
