 I know the feeling all too well of the straight axle and the harsh 
ride you get, but I'm going to go another route as opposed to ISF...mainly for 
cost.

 

  I notice my Dad's early '80's Chevy 4wd pickup is basically a 
straight axle, right? The ride in it is 100 times better than either my '57 or 
my '59.

 

  What his truck has is two?  or three?  leafs on the front, 
but upsode down from the conventional shape our trucks have.

 

  So what I plan on doing is "borrowing" this idea for my '59 
forst, if I like it, I'll use it on my '57 as well.  I'll have to make a 
bit of compromise to adding some height to the spring mount locations and well 
as relocation the spring shanckles too, but I think the ride will well be worth 
it.

 

  Anyone care to comment, or has anyone done something like this, and 
did you like the results?
