 The most inexpensive way is buy a used one. Just like someone else mentioned,
they are out there for $500-$1000. Far less than buying all the material. Find
the size you want, strengthen/modify it, if needed to fit your needs.

Has anyone on the list ever built a flatbed trailer for moving cars,
trucks, etc.?  I'm looking for a source of plans to build my own for
towing mine and my friends projects.  If anyone does have some plans
could you send them to me?  Also is anyone in the western Massachusetts
area interested in a 1960 Chevy Apache 3/4 ton, comes with tranny, with
no engine or bed?  It would make a good project or a nice parts truck.  I
only want $200 for it.  Send me an e-mail off the list if interested.
