For what it is worth, if I do three point belts in my Cameo I'll just do the
same thing that is in a friends Bonanza. The upper attach point fabricated
bracket uses .090 4130 steel then 4 CR 2249-4-4 Cherrymax rivets and 2 AN
526-832-10 screws to attach it to the fuselage. I'll make up the bracket out
of some 4130 steel, drill through the sheet metal and use the cherry rivets
to attach it to the cab.

If it is good enough for a 200 MPH airplane and the very picky FAA
maintenance people sign off on it(if they don't sign off on it the plane
doesn't fly), I figure it ought to be OK for my truck. From what I recall
the FAA requires the attachment to take 25 "G"s. If it breaks loose the "G"
forces would be high enough that I don't think I'd make it anyway<G>.

Jim F, that's the way I plan on doing mine(want to use the original seat).
However if you are going with a new seat check out the late 90's Dakota.
They have the seat belt shoulder built into the seat back.  There is '56
here and that's what he used and it looks great, has the fold down center
arm rest and all!
