Anyone out there using an older Mallory distributor with the large external
Condensers? I have a couple distributors a YC 180 and a ZC 180 both for six
cylinder Chevys. One, the YC, uses one condenser that fires both sets of
points together and the ZC is a rev-pol unit that has two condensers, one
for each set of points that fire one after another. They are both in
virtually unused condition. The problem I am having is almost every
condenser I find has small cracks in the outside casing. Do these cracks
matter? Is this a condition of their age? Virtually everyone I find has at
least tiny cracks in them.

I'm ready to give up and go HEI. Someone talk me down off the ledge.
