Hi. I'm new to the list, and new to old trucks. Last year I purchased a 1959
GMC series 370 with a 336, and equipped by Central Fire of St. Louis as a
fire pumper, from the New London, MO fire dept.. The body is in terrific
condition with only 13,000 miles on the chassis. ^The motor is smoking due
to long periods of not being started, and that will be my project, to clean
it up with a valve/ring job. I'm looking forward to lots of tips and info.
Meanwhile I've located a new in the box 1959 tube type CB radio which I will
install as period original equipment.
