Bill,
Might want to consider measuring from the end of hub to end of hub. If
you just measure between backing plates-you mind find a rearend with wider
break shoes and hubs. Some have 2 inch and some have 2 1/2 inch wide hubs.
If your current rear end had 2 inch hubs and you purchase a rear with 2 1/2
inch hubs, you've just added and inch to the overall width. And in some
cases, one inch makes a difference. Just a thought--wayne
