[oletrucks] '53 Door glass holder

I was looking on my '53 glass holder (the part the glass fits into on the 
bottom that the regular slides on) and there is some sort of felt channel 
like there is that run along the sides of the glass.  Is this the same?  Or 
is the glass setting tape used for this?
