[oletrucks] '54 Tailgate Paint

Can anyone tell me if the letters on the '54 tailgate should be painted
the same color as the body or if they are painted a different color.  Also,
if they are a different color, where does that color start, at the flat
"plane" on the gate, so that the beveled portion leading up to the perimeter
of each letter is painted, or simply on the flat most raised portion of
each letter.
