Blaine, SURE it's no fun after the hard work. I never finish anything I'v=
e
had!=0D
I love the "hunt" and the "digging it out" part, the loading and chaining=
 on
trailer or truck, or the tow bar hook-up, the long slow drive home with c=
are
 etc. The "tear-down" is neat and a treasure hunt. But, after I get the
chassis cleaned, repaired, painted, and old body set-on it looses it's
appeal, cause from then on it's gonna be BIG bucks to finish and a long t=
ime
 So, out it goes to the next guy and hunt begins again! Now I have one
half-done tractor, and just got another on my truck 300 miles away in WI,=
 it
does run some, don't know what I'm gonna do with it, garage is full. And
have 1/2 more tractor with it for parts. Sure was fun loading and driving=
 on
my new to me flatbed truck though! It's all a CROCK, this restoration
thing! HA! Don't worry about it, take it as it goes. Think you'll find i=
f
you have modern vehicles with all the gadgets, the old things that ride
rough, stop bad, need maintainance won't have the appeal you thought they
would. These old trucks are CRUDE!, have to keep that in your frame of mi=
nd
when driving them. Keep on Pluggin' ! =0D

Not really a problem just looking for a little morale support.=0D

For those of you that have finished your trucks is it a disappointment to=
=0D
not have a truck to work on?=0D
=0D
I left my truck at a restoration shop earlier this month and by early nex=
t=0D
summer it should be painted and ready to show and shine. After I dropped =
off=0D
my truck I then went to a car/truck show. There I over heard two guys=0D
talking and one guy was going on about now that his truck ( a beautiful 7=
0=0D
2wd Blazer) was finished he did not enjoy it anymore and the truck was fo=
r=0D
sale.=0D
=0D
Any stories to share?=0D

Maybe good news on the horizon, I purchased a 70 GMC 3/4 ton, but it is 5=
00=0D
miles away and awaiting a barge ride down the Mackenzie River.=0D
