I have a '56 1/2 ton 1300. The serial number has been removed from driver's
door. I've been told I could find it on the frame, by the steering box.
I've looked and have been unsuccessful. Can anyone tell me exactly where on
the frame this should be? do I have to remove anything to see it? Is it on
top of frame? under? side?
Also, I've been looking at head casting numbers on the net to match up my
motor... I'm quite sure it's a 235 but the numbers are slightly off. My
number is 3835913 but the only ones close to that are 3835911 (53-55 235)
and 3835917 (54-55 235)... I want to know if it's the original motor. It's
seized and all but if it's original I'll probably just rebuild it. I hear
it's pretty simple to do with a 235.

Thanx in advance
