The original battery on the art deco trucks was located under the floor
board on the passenger's side.  There's a rectangular access hole in the
floor board that allows access to the battery fill caps but not the whole
battery.  There's (or should be) a battery tray riveted to the frame.  Most
of the original trays are long gone by now so nice reproductions are
available from the mail / on-line vendors.

Folks,

I'm trying to find out where the battery on a 1946 Chevy 1/2 ton is supposed
to (or can) go....the PO semi rodded the thing and put a tiny battery right
next to the headers...you can imagine what transpired then!
