[oletrucks] Need Ignition Timing Spec's for 283 engine

Just ordered a Mallory Unilite distributor, 'performer' intake manifold and 
Edelbrock 600 CFM carb for my '56 with a mild/stock 283 and 2004R auto 
tranny.  I don't have an engine book for a 283 and need to know the timing 
setting and expected advance.  Can anyone help me out?  Thanks in advance.
