There are plastic gears on the inside of the tranny where the cable
connects to it. Depending on what tranny you have, there may be a plate to
remove and get to the gear set. Might have one of the stripped. They are
calibrate by the number of teeth on them. To many and or to less teeth and
the speedometer will be un calibrated. Be careful using a drill as suggested,
an awkward angle on the cable can cause it to break and ruin a good speedo
