i have a '48 fs3800 flat bed. the origional 216 went bad and i have replaced
it with a 235/6 from a '57 car. the starter moter worked to begin with . but
now just clonks and won't turn the engine over. i have replaced the solenoid
,but it still just clonks . on a bench test the starter works fine but on the
truck it won't turn over. any ideas? also the serial no on the starter makes
it a '56 is this the same as a'57 ?vwould it fit the '57 flywheel ? or havbe i
got big problems here?
