Hi All
I use a polyester finishing putty, the body shops call icing. This is a
light 2 part filler like body filler, but is more flexible easier to apply.
The shops use this on blemishes on the plastic parts on modern cars. Make
sure this area is clean, I use a small wire brush and a mixture of Naptha
and MEK. This filler is thin and easy to work with, I apply it with my
finger to the area you're working and its best to apply 2 coats. Also the
modern paints [clear coat-base coat] are quite flexible so you should no
problem.
