I browsed the state of Illinois license plate web site and did NOT find
reference to YOM plates. I just got off the phone with a cousin of mine
who is a car nut and lives in Illinois. He had never heard of YOM
plates.

I know there were some recent comments on year of manufacturer tags for
Texas, but what about Illinois? Can vehicles be registered with YOM
tags there? I
have a pair of IL truck tags ready to go on my '48 after we relocate in
spring, but not sure if I can use them. Worst case scenario, I'll just
put them on
after arriving at car shows. Who's is the expert out there?
