A friend recently put a pair of Carter W-1 carbs on the 235 in his 31
CHevy. These carbs fit the old 216 size flange, which works out well
because he has a really old Edelbrock intake on the thing. The carbs
seem to work ok, they also look neat with the iron main body painted
to match the engine, and the top covers (aluminum) polished.
But they may not work on the later 235 style intakes, so be warned...
