Hi All,
I just aquired a '56 Chey 1/2 ton step side and the first thing I did was
search out this list. The truck is in decent shape, basically original with
the 6 cyl engine, a 4 speed grearbox and original cross beam suspension. I
plan on a rolling restoration, but I'm not terribly picky about originality.
I'm sure I will have tons of questions for all you experienced truckers out
there so I apologize in advance for my ignorance. A few of the first things
I will have to tackle is the winshield wiper switch, the gas gauge,
speedometer and all the glass except the rear window. So first question,
what are the preferred sources of parts for these things?
