The radial tires sound good. I learned after already making one mistake
years ago, after buying tires on my 1999 Chevy C1500. I was talking to my
friend
who is pretty darn good when it comes to cars, just about anything. Since I
was in the mind for new tires I asked his advice and told him I was having some
feeling of loose front wheel bearings, or maybe rotor a little out of true,
since it would shutter a bit whenever coming to a stop, really not to bad for
me to go out and start disasemblying--yet any little gig irks my nerves a bit.
He told me, don't go and buy those tires at Sams Club like you did
before---he said he has seen too many with similar problems. He said,
basicaly, I
bought 2nd grade tires, that sometimes have small pockets without rubber, or
may I
say air, where rubber still should be filling the gaps, and eventually it will
turn into the symptoms I had. He told me the prices are good, but thats what
you get, pretty much 2nd of the line, some tires just don't pass the test at
100%-----these he said may be somewhat below that value. Well I don't have
the evidence to back that up, yet I know my friend is mighty dang good all
around with mechanical robots, industrial, and just as smart with autos. Well
the
new tires I bought from a reputable dealer, and I must say, things are much
better, I won't say everythings perfect, I probably still need to snug up the
front wheel bearings a cotter key clip or 2 more. But you may want to consider
this, I learned Wal-Mart used to logo themselves as made in USA products, go
and try to find anything made in the USA there now, also when you do, make
sure the box hasn't been repackaged with Scotts transparent tape, I've seen
many
like that, it's almost unnotisable unless you look close, you may not have
all your parts. ???????!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thank about it. Not for any reason to
defame WM, but I've learned from past experiences. Better look at them boxes
closely. Someone brings it back and they just repackage so its unnoticable
and back on the shelf it goes.
