You should never paint in the sun. If the outside temp is 80 degrees then  
the sun has got the metal at probably 100 plus degrees. All paint and primer 
has 
 a "flash time" the primer has to be able to flow out, then dry. If the 
vehicle  is hot the solvents in the primer are flashing out or drying the 
second it 
hits  the metal. Time to sand it off or at least sand it smooth and try 
again. 80  degrees is a really good temp to spray at, just don't do it in the 
sun.
