Hate to impose on you AD guys once again...
The 53 trucks came with a 3 or 4 speed transmission-was the rear end ratio
the same with either transmission or was it different? Can't see them
installing different ratios as generally the final tranny output shaft
ratio is the same on all manuals--1:1 ratio with the engine. In regards to
the torque tube setup for the 3 and 4 speed setups, are the torque tube
lengths different between the 2 trannie options? I'm assuming the rear end
is the same between the two versions and wondering what rear end ratio
options were available on the 1/2 ton trucks. --wayne
