My ?54 is completely disassembled right now. The frame is bare, cab is on a 
rotisserie, bed is in pieces, and the motor is covered up on the shop floor. 
The ?67 C20 I have is a rust bucket. I had planned to rebuild both but I?ve 
been thinking of using the 292 from the C20 in the ?54 3100. If I do that I?ll 
probably just part out the ?67.

I agree that as long as you don?t drop that major cast iron on your foot you 
are not hurting anybody putting a V-8 in your truck.  (If you didn?t you would 
be saying to yourself ?I coulda had a V8!! ?I?ll be here all week?)  The only 
rule is that we must all enjoy every step of the hobby and the results of our 
labors.
