Most communities have a day set aside (usually several times a year) when
residents can bring all their hazardous waste materials to be disposed of.
 You know those really nasty "Hazardous Wastes" like old cans of paint etc.
  Actually in my area it is the Safety Kleen guy who comes and gets rid of
all that stuff for our township.   Very handy, and it's free !
