Ditto here - all I succeeded in doing with one each HP and Epson ink jet
cartridges was making my hands multi-colored for a few days, and my wallet
thinner by the cost of the refill kits. But the el-cheapo, ready-to-go
cartridges I've tried have been OK.

And reputably refilled laser cartridges are often far better than new ones.
Refillers usually use better drums, intended to last more than just one
cycle. I started a client on refills - they go through a couple cartridges
a week - and they get far more copies and better quality too, for about 1/3
the price. Wish I could find reputable refills for my Xerox printer/copier.

The only thing I would caution / warn on is regards to refilling
cartridges yourself. I've tried it unsuccessfully on each of the inkjet
printers I've had. Not once have I been able to get it to work.

I've had no problems using the aftermarket cartridges, including
recycled ones, with any of the printers.
