Hi everyone,
I 've been reading stories of people and engine problems but I 
never thought it would be me.  It all started with the throwout bearing,
so I figured I'd pull the motor and put in a new clutch. That turned into
detailing
the engine bay , which turned into a nightmare !!!  Two bad lifters, couple
bad valves, badly scored cam,  bad bearings, both rod and main !!. Oh Yea, the
crank has to be machined.  Now it's turned into the crank being turned, the
head ported and polished, new Piper 1/4 cam, new bearings, new high
compression flat top 9.0 Compression over pistons .  This added to a Weber,
headers, and freeflow exhaust.  All this and more to a 1500 motor !!! Bye Bye

Thanks, I just needed to justify spending the whole thing.....  

BTW, Has anyone else built a 1500 motor ?? Any additional suggestions while
I'm at it ??
