For your consideration:

1. If it doesn't have a PCV Valve, put one on - the crankcase is designed
to operate under a slight vacuum from it.

2. Is the rear main cap oil control surfaces damaged or improperly aligned
with the crankshaft?  Has the engine been line-bored without considering
the effect on the oil control surfaces?

3. Does the engine have excessive blow-by (are the rings shot)?

4. Some people believe in installing a real rear main seal conversion kit
(I am not one).  However, it may be an option.
